How to wear Fortress Gear

Individuals will choose different wearing patterns. All of our base and mid-layer garments perform best when worn close to the skin, with the least amount of layering. Individual preferences may dictate.

If I ordered Gloves and Base Layer will they ship together?

We will be sending out all Base Layer order first, if you ordered both the glove and Base Layer we will mark your profile accordingly and will send the Gloves after they arrive here in January. Please be sure to add sizes for all items you paid for on your survey and we will track it.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Once the Base Pro & Glove Pro stock comes in to our warehouse and has gone through QC we will begin shipping primarily via USPS, priority. Which provides shipping in the USA within 3-6 days. International orders vary by country. (estimated 1-2 weeks)

How will I know when my order has shipped?

When your order ships you will receive an email, at the address you provided on your KS profile, with a tracking number and notice of date shipped, these will come from XPSshipper. Please check your junk mail often to be sure it has not been directed there.

How do I decide what size to get in the Base Pro Pant?

Because they are not listed as a specific number size (32, 34, 36 etc.) but are listed as S, M, L, etc, the fit has a bigger range being a stretchy fit.

Here are examples of the sizing, which will still be more of a preference on how tight each person will want them to fit. The Large fits a 34 waist comfortable, the XL fits a 36 waist comfortable, however if someone wanted a tighter fit on the pants they could go down one size and they would still fit, but be snug.

On the survey, there is no place for me to add that I pledged for early bird gloves along with my Base Pro Top and/or Pant... How can I add this information?

After you choose the size for your initial pledge, it will still show that you still have a “credit” for the extra amount you paid on KS, you will then go to “add ons” and choose the extra items that you pledged for, this will use the remaining “credit” that was shown. You may also add any extra items that you would like that were not available on the KS, or additional Base Pro & Glove Pro.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
